Marrakech - Ait Ben Haddou - Dades
We pick you up at 08:00 AM. Cross the majestic High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi-n-Tichka pass (2260m). Stop for panoramic photos of Berber villages.
Visit the UNESCO World Heritage site, Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, famous for movies like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. Continue to Ouarzazate and the Valley of Roses before reaching Dades Gorge for dinner and overnight stay.
Dades - Todra Gorges - Merzouga
After breakfast, travel to Todra Gorges, a massive fault rising to 300m in a narrow valley. It is a paradise for rock climbers and walkers.
In the afternoon, we reach Merzouga. Meet your camel caravan for a 1-hour trek across the Erg Chebbi dunes during sunset. Arrive at your camp for a traditional Berber dinner and drum music under the stars.
Merzouga - Ziz Valley - Fes
Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the Sahara. After breakfast and a shower, we leave the desert and travel North.
Drive through the Ziz Valley palm groves and the Middle Atlas Mountains. Stop in the Cedar Forest of Azrou to see the Barbary Macaque monkeys. We arrive in Fes around evening, dropping you at your accommodation.

Is the drive very long?
Yes, it is a road trip. The total distance is about 1000km split over 3 days. We make frequent stops for coffee, photos, and lunch to break up the journey.
What should I pack?
Comfortable clothes, sunglasses, sunscreen, and a jacket (the desert can be cold at night!). Don't forget your camera.
Do you drop us at our Fes hotel?
Yes, if your hotel is accessible by car. If you are staying in the old Medina (car-free zone), we drop you at the nearest gate.
