Tour Itinerary

Day 1 Tangier – Chefchaouen

Depart from Tangier and travel through the Rif Mountains to the blue city of Chefchaouen. Explore the blue-washed alleys, visit the Kasbah Museum, and see the Ras El Maa waterfall. Overnight in a charming riad.

Day 2 Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes

Visit the Roman ruins of Volubilis and the imperial city of Meknes, featuring the Bab Mansour gate. Continue to Fes for an overnight stay in a riad located in the ancient medina.

Day 3 Explore Fes

Dedicate the day to exploring Fes. Visit Al Quaraouiyine University, the famous tanneries, and Bou Inania Madrasa. See the Royal Palace and enjoy panoramic views from the Merenid Tombs.

Day 4 Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Merzouga

Travel through the Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping in Ifrane and the cedar forests of Azrou. Continue through the Ziz Valley to Merzouga. Enjoy a camel trek into the dunes and spend the night in a luxury desert camp.

Day 5 Merzouga – Marrakech

After an early breakfast, embark on a long but scenic drive to Marrakech. Journey through the Draa Valley and cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka pass. Arrive in Marrakech by evening, where the tour concludes.

This tour is a one-way journey that ends in Marrakech. We will drop you off at your hotel/riad in Marrakech on Day 5.

Is the drive on Day 5 long?

Yes, the drive from Merzouga to Marrakech is long (approx. 9 hours), but it is very scenic with stops at Ouarzazate and the Atlas Mountains.

What should I wear in the desert?

Loose, comfortable clothing is best. Bring a scarf for the wind and a jacket, as the desert can get cold at night.

Can we stop at Ait Ben Haddou?

Depending on the time on Day 5, we may stop for photos, but since it is a long drive, a full tour of the Kasbah might be rushed.
