Tour Itinerary

Day 1 Marrakech – Ait Benhaddou – Dades Valley

Depart from Marrakech and cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260m). Visit the UNESCO-listed Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a famous filming location. Stop in Ouarzazate to visit the Atlas Film Studios. Continue to Dades Valley through the “Road of a Thousand Kasbahs” and enjoy stunning views of the Dades Gorge. Overnight in a 4-star hotel.

Day 2 Dades Valley – Todra Gorge – Merzouga

Depart for Todra Gorge to explore the towering canyon walls. Continue to the Sahara Desert, passing through Erfoud and Rissani. Upon arrival in Merzouga, switch to camels for a trek into the Erg Chebbi dunes. Spend the night in a luxury desert camp under the stars with traditional Berber music and dinner.

Day 3 Merzouga – Draa Valley – Marrakech

Watch the sunrise over the dunes, then return to Merzouga by camel. Drive back through Rissani, the scenic Draa Valley, and Ouarzazate. Enjoy views of desert landscapes, palm groves, and the High Atlas Mountains. Drop-off at your hotel or the airport in Marrakech.

Yes, we use luxury desert camps that offer private tents with real beds, electricity, and ensuite bathroom facilities.

How much driving is involved?

There is significant driving, especially on Day 3 (approx. 9 hours return), but we make many scenic stops to break up the journey.

What should I pack?

Bring comfortable walking shoes, a jacket for cool desert nights, sunscreen, sunglasses, and a small overnight bag for the camp.
